The 14th Annual Biloxi Children's Walking Parade will be held Monday, March 3rd at 11 a.m. More than 500 children, ages 12 and younger, are expected to participate. The parade features youngsters riding bikes, scooters, skateboards, and being pulled in wagons. The kids are all dressed in Mardi Gras costumes. This year’s theme is ‘Celebrations Around the World.’ There is also a new parade route this year. Bill Raymond, Biloxi Historic Administrator, says, “We have a new route this year. It starts at the Town Green, goes around Lameuse St., around Martin Luther King and Reynoir St., and ends at the Mardi Gras Museum. It’s very appropriate for us. It's a totally new route for us. It gives us chance to bring more people into the museum which opens this summer. It will get interest building before we actually get open.” If you would like your child to participate, you can register on Biloxi's website: www.biloxi.ms.us.
