The Beauvoir is excited to offer a horse drawn carriage to their visitors. With a purchased admission ticket, every visitor to the Jefferson Davis Home in Biloxi can take a ride. The horses, Belle and Babe, are sisters, weighing 1,800lbs each. Officials at the historic property hope the carriage rides will cater to children, as well as the Coast's retiring population.

Kali Highbaugh, the Tourism, Events, and Program Coordinator at the Beauvoir, says, “We decided to add a little bit more to the tours here at the Beauvoir, so instead of the 30 minute guided tour and then the self-guided walking tour, we’ll also have a 30 minute tour of the entire property, which is pretty exciting.” The Beauvoir also plans to bring in a one horse carriage, perfect for weddings and private occasions.
