Residents of the Arbor View Apartments were disturbed to find out the suspected arsonist was one of their own neighbors who lived in the burned building. Wednesday, residents News 25 spoke with tell us they are shocked to learn the person who set fire to their home is one of their neighbors. Sandra Huggins, an Arbor View resident, says, “There's no excuse for that. People could have died. She'd have to live with that for the rest of her life.” For many, it's a risk that one takes when they live in a crowded apartment complex. Dennis Hankins, another Arbor View resident, says, “I guess you take that risk when you in a multiple family complex. A lot of time, you don't know who your neighbors are.” Residents were stunned by the logic of this alleged arson: a fire that claimed the lives of pets. Huggins also says, “I think it’s ridiculous. I mean, why start a fire? If you're mad at somebody, if that’s the reason that you started it, why? Don't take it out on them physically, just leave. Don't put people out of their homes.” Now residents at Arbor View will wait for the court to deal out the justice as they try and put their lives back together.
