A.T.F. Holds Meeting with Arbor View Fire Victims

The residents affected by the Arbor View apartment fire in D'Iberville packed into the council chambers Thursday. County and city fire officials, alongside agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (A.T.F.), gathered with the displaced families. This is the first organized meeting with the fire victims since the disaster two weeks ago. The officials wanted to tell residents what is going on with the ongoing investigation. John Lee, an A.T.F. agent, says, “We're just giving them a heads up on everything they can expect in the upcoming months and have a meeting to let them know what's going on and to kind of comfort everybody.” Thursday, News 25 spoke with Michael Crosby, the attorney representing accused arsonist, Krystal Gonzalez. Crosby says he is currently awaiting a court date to be set to try to lower Gonzalez's $2 million bond.
