Today: Rain has already moved off to the east with just lingering showers remaining for Thursday a.m.. Morning temperatures will increase to near 62º with a light northwest breeze, but all of that will change after lunch. Clouds will break in favor of more sunshine, the winds will pick up to the 20 mph zone with higher gusts and the temperatures will drop to the low 50's - all of this will happen this afternoon as a cold front presses in from Louisiana.
Tonight: Clear sky, strong breeze around 20 mph from the north and a very cold low temperature near 25º... Give a moment for that to sink in. A blustery night is ahead with the cold wind making things feel even colder with wind chills falling into the teens!
Friday: A very chilly start to this day courtesy of the post frontal weather pattern. More sunshine with high temps only hitting in the mid 40's. A persistent breeze around 10-20 mph should be expected. The low temperatures into Saturday morning will also be chilly again, below freezing... 29º.
This Weekend: A high pressure system (following Thursday's low) will be moving across the state and more sunshine with some clouds will be the expected weather pattern. Temperature highs will actually jump toward the 60º mark with lighter wind speeds and dry conditions. Lows during the night will briefly warm up to the mid 40's (Saturday) before dropping back down to the 30's (Sunday) as another cold front advances. This front will ease in late Sunday and the high temperatures will drop as a result through Tuesday. Rain will also be on the increase leading this system across our region with a good chance of rain late Sunday night into Monday.
