CREATIONS FOR A CURE ART, WINE AND DINING EVENT
"CREATIONS FOR A CURE ART, WINE AND DINING EVENT IN HONOR OF LOCAL CANCER PATIENTS"
APRIL 21, 2009 - 6-9pm
GULFPORT, MS - March 13, 2009

Second-annual "Creations For A Cure" Art Auction at ConFusion Casual Dining (162 Tegarden Rd., Gulfport, MS)

An event that local art, food and wine enthusiasts won’t want to miss.
Tuesday, April 21st at 6:00pm the event will be featuring a silent auction of art by local artist Gerrol Benigno that was finished by Terese Evans with the children of St. James School and also those created by children of Bayou View School; items like autographed New Orleans Saints paraphernalia, spa treatments, jewelry, and local celebrity artwork.

There will be live music and delicious food and beverage provided by Martin Burns and his staff at ConFusion Casual Dining. All proceeds will benefit pediatric cancer research at Children’s Hospital in Birmingham. Tickets - $75 donation and are tax deductible.

Children from the MS Gulf Coast area made more than 1,500 visits to Children’s Hospital in 2008 and 95 percent of all Alabama pediatric cancer patients are treated at Children’s. Last year’s event raised more than $12,000 for pediatric cancer research. None of this success would be possible without the generosity of ConFusion, Negrotto's Gallery, the Richardson Family, Terese Evans from St. James School, Butch Oustalet, participating schools and everyone who gave so generously last year.

Event inspired by Claire Richardson, a brave little girl from Gulfport, MS. Daughter of Connie and Randy Richardson; Claire was diagnosed with cancer and with the help of the staff at Children’s Hospital, she is now in remission and is just one of the special Children's Hospital miracle stories along the gulf coast.
